Burford lies just off the A40 as it makes its way beyond Oxford towards Cheltenham and South Wales. It is known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds and as such attracts a large number of tourists all year round.

The best time to go from a photographic point of view is early morning before the masses of tourists arrive to look at what the town has to offer. The photogenic High Street runs roughly north to south so to get the best of the sunshine on your photos you really have to spend a day there. I paid a visit one morning a couple of weeks ago and these are some of my images.
