My latest article is about Edwin Rixon who lived in Hook Norton for a time before settling in Banbury. He was a well regarded citizen of the town in later years.

Cornbury House Horse Trials 2023
A selection of images taken at the above event on Friday 8th September. As Friday is technically a working day there were not many spectators so it was easy to get up close to the action. These images are from the cross country phase of the CIC-S 2* event.
Blenheim Horse Trials 2019
Perhaps the last warm day of this early autumn. It was the cross country phase of the Ssangyong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials on Saturday 21st September. A good day out with my “big” DSLR camera for a change. Here is a gallery of some images.
The event was won by Piggy French, she also finished third on the horse (Castletown Clover) pictured in this gallery.

Back in the saddle
First cycle ride for a number of weeks yesterday having had a shoulder injury due to a fall last time out. 23 miles, the last few were a bit of struggle due to the wind picking up and lack of fitness!
Sunny Monday Post
Lovely sunny day here in Hook Norton. Grass cut for the first time last week, it certainly needed it as I found a couple of tennis balls which had been hidden by Jimmy and his friends.
