Commemorative statue to William Huskisson, the first person to killed by a train in 1830, which stands in Pimlico Gardens on the north bank of the River Thames in London. I was reading Bill Bryson’s book The Road to Little Dribbling whilst having my lunch on a recent trip to London when I came across the reference to Huskisson.
